St. Michael’s and the Interfaith Movement for Immigrant Justice (IMIrJ) invite you into new ways of being, loving, and acting together by engaging in immigrant justice and anti-racism work. Many people at St Michael’s have expressed a desire for a space where they can talk about immigration injustice, racism and white supremacy, and engage in the work of dismantling these personally, in our communities and in the world.

You Will Want to Remember:
Let us continue to recognize this moment in history as we write our thoughts, reflections and experiences to preserve our voice, our values, our story and our history. As you write each week, be sure to date your reflections.

St. Michael’s Compassion Camp begins Wednesday, July 15, at 10:00 am. Please send a quick email to Leslie Sackett, Associate for Ministry to Children & Families, to let her know if your kiddo(s) will take part in St. Michael’s Virtual Vacation Bible School – Compassion Camp!

While we are still likely a ways off from reopening for regular in-person worship at St. Michael’s, we wish to create a few opportunities for you to prayerfully visit the space and draw near to the sacred center we share with one another.

The St. Michael’s Advocacy Action Committee is asking you to review a rule against asylum seekers proposed by the current administration. After years of attacking the asylum system and the rights of those in need of protection, the “administration is proposing a rule that could effectively end asylum in this country once and for all…”

At St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, we were informed late last February that we are one of a dozen recipients of a 2020 Pacific Power Blue Sky renewable-energy award to help fund a new solar-array installation on the south-facing roof of our church.

As we navigate the tumultuous and uncertain times we are in, we are using a lot of technology to connect in virtual services and meetings. This is helping somewhat to keep us connected to the St. Michael’s community. A couple of us wonder if there might be interest in something a bit more old-fashioned, such as handwritten, hand-made greeting cards.
