Shrove Tuesday is on February 21! We’re looking forward to enjoying a delicious pancake supper for the first time since February 2020. The MOWs are joining forces with the youth to offer this event to the parish. For Ash Wednesday, February 22, we will offer two services, at 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm. Both services will include Eucharist and the imposition of ashes.

This Sunday, the choir will sing an anthem by Moses Hogan who is best known for revitalizing the Negro spiritual tradition.
We are offering three meaningful prayer and study opportunities this Lenten season. One is a small-group gathering, and two are book studies.
We have another musical event coming up at St. Michael’s on Saturday, February 11, at 3:00 pm. Ping & Woof Opera presents the vocal recital “Songs for My Valentine” with husband and wife singers Jocelyn Claire Thomas (soprano) and Zachary Lenox (baritone), accompanied by Hannah Brewer on piano.
The topic for the final forum of this history series, which will be presented on February 19, is “The History of the Music Program at St. Michael’s,” and it will be led by the Rev. Dr. Caroline Litzenberger. All are welcome both in-person in the Nativity Hall at 10:15 am or online.
We invite you to make a donation to “seed the soup pot” for the NE Emergency Food Program (NEPF), the local ministry we support every year on the Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday! Our young people will make an announcement and collect donations in person on Sunday, February 12th.
Sunday’s gospel states “You are the light of the world.” We celebrate this light through song with hymns such as Gather Us In
