St. Francis Day is on October 4, and we’re celebrating it on Sunday, October 3. All are invited to attend our annual Blessing of the Animals at 12:00 noon in the courtyard. The clergy will offer blessings and treats for each pet, and you can have your photo snapped with St. Francis (or a reasonable facsimile thereof) or in front of the red doors. It’s a chance to chat and catch up with your friends and fellow parishioners and introduce them to your beloved pet.
We’re looking for some social-media and tech savvy volunteers to help with such things as online moderation and video production.
If you have not attended an 11:00 am Courtyard Service watch this video sampler. Come early and join in socializing with the 9:00 am group and then grab a folding chair or bring your own for the courtyard experience.
An evening of music with countertenors and multi-instrumentalists, James Walton and Tim Galloway, assisted by Adaiha MacAdam-Somer and Bruce Neswick.
We had a wonderful time on Easter Day after the service doing some safe socializing and taking Easter photos. Click on “read more” to watch our 2021 Easter People slideshow. A special thank-you to Lynda Garner, who created our Easter backdrop, and thanks to all of you who participated!
You Will Want to Remember:
Let us continue to recognize this moment in history as we write our thoughts, reflections and experiences to preserve our voice, our values, our story and our history. As you write each week, be sure to date your reflections.
As we navigate the tumultuous and uncertain times we are in, we are using a lot of technology to connect in virtual services and meetings. This is helping somewhat to keep us connected to the St. Michael’s community. A couple of us wonder if there might be interest in something a bit more old-fashioned, such as handwritten, hand-made greeting cards.
Thanks to all those who sent in photos of themselves to celebrate this great day! Watch the video!
We congratulate our grads for 2020 whether it’s high school, college, or seminary. Watch the video.
