Happy New Year from your St. Michael’s music team! We have 5+ months of glorious choral music planned for you, including a Choral Evensong coming up on Wednesday, February 1st at 7 pm for the Eve of Candlemas

Our choirs had a blast singing Lessons & Carols this past Sunday evening! If you missed it, you can hear a few of the anthems and carols at our Christmas Eve services.

You are warmly invited to our Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols this Sunday, December 18 at 7pm. The St. Michael’s Singers and Choristers are excited to share several Advent/Christmas anthems and carols they’ve been learning over the past month or two, just for this occasion.

All are welcome on Sunday, December 18, at 7:00 pm for our Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols. This will be our first full-length in-person Lesson & Carols service since 2019 and will be the choral highlight of the season. Our St. Michael’s Singers and Choristers are excited to share eight anthems and motets for the service.

This year for Advent we sing many of our favorite seasonal hymns as well as some newer or less familiar hymns to celebrate a diverse worship experience, such as “All Earth is hopeful” (“Toda la tierra”) this coming Sunday. The choral highlight of the season will be our Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols on Sunday, December 18, at 7:00 pm.

You are invited to join your music leaders Hannah Brewer and Brian Fairbanks this Sunday at 4pm in St. Michael’s sanctuary for a voice, piano, and flute recital we’re calling “Sérénade d’Automne.”

This Sunday the St. Michael’s Singers offers an intense, emotional anthem at the 9 am service called My Eternal King by Jane Marshall (1924-2019).

This Sunday, November 13, our 9 am and 11 am services will be supported by the tenors and basses of the St. Michael’s Singers while the sopranos and altos have the morning off. The low voice choral anthem will be an arrangement of the traditional spiritual “We shall walk through the valley in peace” by the Florida conductor and teacher Ronald Burrichter.

As we celebrate All Saints this Sunday at the 9:00 am service, the St. Michael’s Singers are honored to sing two excerpts from Gabriel Fauré’s gorgeous Requiem, Op. 4

Although organist Hannah Brewer is not offering a Halloween Organ Spooktacular this year, listen for the spooky prelude and postlude at this Sunday’s 9am and 11am services, programmed in honor of Halloween.
