St. Michael’s is presenting a series of Zoom forums on the history of our church from when Christianity first reached England to the 1979 Prayer Book and beyond.

A memorial service for Mickey Harnage will be held on Saturday, February 19, at 2:00 pm at St. Michael’s. Chris Craun will preside, and the service will be livestreamed. Mickey’s request was that people NOT wear black to her service. She wanted it to be a true celebration of life!

One Lenten practice at St. Michael’s has been to seek a deeper understanding how we can more fully live into our commitment to “Seek justice. Love Mercy. And Walk Humbly with God.” With that in mind, the Immigrant Welcoming Congregation (IWC) team would like to invite you, whether you speak English or Spanish, to participate in a Lenten book study group that will explore what it means to be “undocumented” in this country.

The Treasury Transparency Bill (HB 4115), which is currently making its way through the legislature, would ensure the Oregon Treasury makes its investments and climate-risk analyses transparent to the public. This would make it possible for citizens to know where their money is being invested as well as how these investments put local communities at risk.

In partnership with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and the language institute Edúcate Ya, St. Michael’s is hosting two upcoming vaccine clinics in the next month or so, on Thursdays, February 10 and March 3, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. No appointments are necessary, and initial vaccines and boosters will be available for no cost to those five years of age and over.
