This week, we celebrated the spring equinox and the first full day of spring. As spring weather takes hold, we are invited to awaken to the stirrings of new life and renewed hope, winter’s stone is rolling away. Daffodils, crocuses and even some tulips have heard their names called and have unwrapped their faces to display their color and beauty, fresh from their winter tombs.

Misa Community News

There’s a lot going on with the Spanish-speaking community these days. The Misa happens every Sunday at 1:00 pm, and all are welcome to attend – maybe even pick up a little Spanish! There is a regular rotation of crucifers, acolytes and lectors who serve on Sundays, as well as ushers to welcome attendees and distribute bulletins.

A Note from the Interim Rector

[Drum roll, please.] Next Thursday, March 16, a separate eblast will be sent out which will include a letter of introduction from St Michael & All Angels’ new rector. I believe the plan is to notify both the St Michael’s congregation and the new rector’s current congregation at the same time.

Yesterday, we had the first meeting of the Lenten book group that is discussing Bishop Emma Ineson’s Failure: What Jesus said about Sin, Mistakes, and Messing Stuff Up. When I started out in parish ministry, there was no internet or email, Google or Facebook. Bp Ineson reminds her readers that, “God may take your sins and misdemeanours and put them in the deepest sea, but anyone with a search engine can fish them out again and serve them to you for breakfast.”
