The St. Michael & All Angels Recovery Ministry is celebrating recovery and sobriety with a Recovery Sunday Eucharist next Sunday, August 25, at our 10 o’ clock service. The Rev. Marla McGarry-Lawrence will preach.
Hello from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania! The past week and a half have been a whirlwind of returning to my life as a college student and leadership educator, including moving back onto campus, saying goodbye to family and friends, and saying hello to my nine-to-five once more. In the time I’ve had to myself I can’t help but reflect on the experience I had at Saint Michael’s this summer.
Last Sunday was a wonderful and joy-filled gathering for our Annual All-Parish Picnic! It was a celebration of our life together as a diverse and multi-cultural parish family, and it was a beautiful occasion of thanks and appreciation for the ministry of Padre Beto. We sent him forth with love and blessing. My heart is overflowing with gratitude for all that we are as the people of St. Michael’s, and full of hope in looking toward God’s future together.
Our summer book exchange began on July 14 and continues through July 28. You’re invited to bring books for children, youth or adults (no textbooks, please) to the Nativity Hall on Sunday or during the week.
