More ways to serve the community

All of you have networks of people you are connected to who are stuck at home and want to do good work for their wider community but maybe don’t know how to do it.  But BeaconPDX (https://www.beaconpdx.org) has set up an info page that will tell them: 1) what to shop for 2) how to prepare individual lunches  3) where to drop off the finished product so other volunteers can distribute, and 4) sign-up info to pick a day they will cover.  BeaconPDX continues to serve meals in a park in the SE every day for houseless individuals…. but they could use help!

I’m hoping each of you can forward the following link and a word of encouragement: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0944aaaf23a2ff2-join

Using this time to serve others is not only a way to stave off the loneliness and depression that comes with social isolation, it’s also a way of giving back to those less fortunate during this difficult time.  I’ll also add in all seriousness that it’s fun for the whole family, especially if you let your 2 and a half year old DJ the work party.
