Land Use Gatherings

In May, we heard from parishioners who shared their family land story. The purpose of sharing these land stories (watch Peter Sergienko’s here and Marjorie McRae’s here) was to open up congregational conversations about the importance of acknowledging how we come to own land and its significance in regards to our privilege, and we have now hosted three Land Story Gatherings and had great conversations. We are discovering that it is both overwhelming and inspiring to hear the Land Story of St. Michael’s – overwhelming with the recognition and acknowledgment of how we came to be on this land, and inspiring to envision a future world that seeks restitution and compassionate care. Please register below for one of the two remaining gatherings. They are about 90 minutes long, and each one contains the same agenda and information-sharing.

Please register in advance for the remaining meetings. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
