Summertime fun is happening on Sundays in the church courtyard at 10:00 am through the month of June, and after morning worship in July and August too! Stop by and enjoy a summer treat, play games with friends and soak up the beautiful summer weather! Children’s Liturgy of the Word will continue at the 9:00 and 11:00 am services through June, and at the 10:00 am service in July and August.

It’s time to start planning for the 4:00 pm Christmas Eve Nativity Play! There are signup sheets today, November 24, in the hallway outside the Godly Play classroom. Speaking and non-speaking parts are available for children and youth of all ages.

The young people from the Joyful Players classroom (3rd grade & up) are getting ready to present the story “A Tale of Three Trees” at the 9 & 11 o’clock liturgies next Sunday, April 28. This beloved folktale explores the hopes and dreams we have for ourselves – and the even greater dream that God dreams for each of us.

Join Leslie Sackett, Associate for Ministry with Children and Families, in the Nativity Hall on Sunday, March 3, at 10:15 am for the forum: “Lifelong Learning with Godly Play.” Experience the Godly Play story “The Synagogue and the Upper Room,” and give yourself the gift of coming close to a beloved story in our Christian tradition in a whole new way.

Got kids? Family Worship returns on Saturday, October 21. Join the circle of friends and families in the Nativity Hall for music and worship followed by a potluck dinner. Come connect with other families and their young children as we sing, dance, pray and give thanks for God’s goodness in each other, in creation and in our community.

ST. MICHAEL’S CHORISTERS: Grades 3 and up. The results are in! Our preferred rehearsal time is Sundays, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Rehearsals begin right away on September 10, so we can be ready to sing Evensong for the Feast of St. Michael & All Angels on September 29. It will be the 100th ANNIVERSARY of our Nave!

Día de los Niños is back on Sunday, April 30, at 2:15 pm! There will be a special blessing offered at the 1:00 pm service for all St. Michael’s children, and all are invited to stay after the service and enjoy traditional carnival games, yummy treats and piñatas in the Nativity Hall.

There is no one right way to “do church” with your kids. Getting everyone out the door and going to church as a family can be a lot of work, and it’s worth it! Families with children and youth are life-giving to other families and to the entire faith community – like water in the desert.

We are so happy to reopen our Godly Play classroom! Children in pre-K through 5th grade (parents and older siblings, too) are welcome to join the circle. We began last week with “The Story of Creation” and continue this coming Sunday, October 30, with “The Flood and the Ark.”
