Mark your calendars for two special youth-group events in June! First, on Sunday, June 4, the St. Michael’s Youth Group will meet for an end-of-year party with our new rector Scott Painter. The time for this event is from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Parish Hall, and it will include dinner, games and prizes. All youth in middle and high school are invited.

Second, on Friday and Saturday, June 16-17, the Diocese of Oregon has organized an event they’re calling Fire & Hope, a diocesan youth event. All diocesan youth are invited to celebrate the end of the school year and the start of summer at St. James/Santiago in Lincoln City on the coast. On Friday, the group will gather at 4:00 pm for a meal, games, bonfire and evening prayer before a sleepover in the church. On Saturday, they will serve at the community breakfast, do some ocean/beach cleanup, enjoy the beach, and go swimming at the local community center.
