The St. Michael’s music program has some exciting special events coming up in this new year. Please join Ensemble Boulanger in the Nativity Hall on Saturday, January 25, at 4:00 pm for a vocal/piano recital called A Tour of Eastern Europe. Ensemble Boulanger is a duo led by St. Michael’s Music Director & Organist Hannah Brewer and Ascension Episcopal Parish’s Emma Cowell. You can expect music by Hungarian, Czech, and Polish composers, including several lesser-known women from the past 250 years.

Then, on Sunday, February 2 at 5:00 pm, we’ll have our Candlemas Evensong, with choral music by Duncan Tuomi (son of our past Music Director Scott Tuomi) and Brian Fairbanks (our current Choir Director).

Finally, Broadway Night approaches early this year because of where Easter falls in the choir year. All are invited to support the music program in this fantastic annual fundraiser on Friday, February 28, or Saturday, March 1, where the choirs let down their hair and present solos, duets and choreographed ensemble numbers from favorite musicals. Group numbers this year include popular excerpts from Les Misérables, Singin’ in the Rain, and so much more. There will also be a dessert intermission and a silent auction to peruse. Tickets go on sale in February!
