On Sunday, November 3, we celebrate the Feast of All Saints, when we remember and honor loved ones who have gone before. The Book of Remembrance is filled with many of their names, and those who have died since last All Saints are listed in the bulletins and will be read aloud during the services.
The Altar de los Muertos is set up at the front of the nave and filled with photos and mementos of loved ones as well as marigolds and other traditional items. We are grateful to Juana and Dora for beautifully decorating El Altar.
On All Saints Sunday, we’re continuing our new tradition of ministries sponsoring special coffee hours and receptions. The Immigrant Welcoming Congregation (IWC) cohort is hosting a festive Día de los Muertos-themed coffee hour today at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm in the Parish Hall. There will be special treats, a display table and craft activities for the young ones and the young-at-heart.
