Red Hot Update from Children’s Ministry!

PENTECOST IS ALMOST HERE!

It’s only once a year and it’s almost here! Celebrate Pentecost and the gifts of the Holy Spirit this coming Sunday, May 31st! Worship begins at 10 AM and we encourage you to dress up your spirit in traditional Pentecost colors – red, yellow and orange. Snap of photo of your “Spirit filled family” and send it to Gloria ( gloriao@stmaa.org) and we will add it to the gallery of photos for St. Michael’s website.

RED DOOR DANCE PARTY

If it’s Pentecost at St. Michael’s, you know that means it’s time to dance! Check the E-blast (sent out on Thursday each week) for the link to the RED DOOR ZOOM DANCE PARTY and keep the Spirit alive in your household on this Festival Day!

BAPTISM TOO!

After worship and dancing stay tuned for the Holy Baptism of Neve Viola Barnett which will be live streamed from St. Michael’s courtyard at 11:30 AM! We pray and give thanks for Neve, her parents Andrea and Aaron and her big brother Ewen!!

Check out this link to color your own Pentecost Flames and decorate your home – or your head!!

CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD ON YOUTUBE!

Please join me on Sundays for Children’s Liturgy of the Word on St. Michael’s You Tube station, STMAA CONNECTION. New videos are posted every week and I look forward to sharing the Good News of God’s love with your family! New Children’s bulletins and resources are posted on  here on our website every  week to coincide with the Revised Common Lectionary and the church year.

It’s not the same without children in the room to share their wonderful, immediate thoughts and opinions – nothing compares to the honest, heartfelt comments of a young person! So, if there is anything you or your child would like to send me in the way of feedback or suggestions for future videos – I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!

  • What is most helpful to your family at this time?
  • How can I best support your kids without overloading them with too much screen time?
  • How can I best support YOU (parents and grandparents) during the weeks and months ahead?

A PEACHY STORY FOR SCHOOL AGE KIDS – IT’S TERRIFIC!

Check out this wonderful YouTube offering from New Zealand director, Taika Waititi and a myriad of film stars who read aloud Roald Dahl’s children’s classic, James and the Giant Peach.
