Lessons & Carols is fast approaching! This annual, beloved event will be held early in the season on Sunday, December 3, at 7:00 pm this year. As sung two years ago, we will again structure the service around the seven “O” Antiphons, rather than the typical nine lessons. Dating back to the 6th century, these “O” Antiphons expand on the most famous paraphrase, the hymn “O come, O come, Emmanuel,” focusing on the Hebrew scriptures associated with the coming of Christ.

This Sunday, November 5, the St. Michael’s Youth Group will meet from 5:00 to 6:30 pm in the Nativity Hall for dinner, games and fellowship. Please give us a heads up if you’re coming so we have enough food.

Enjoy the different flavors of our services this All Saints Sunday with our traditional Litany of the Saints and classic hymns then, at 5pm we have our Choral Evensong for the Feast of All Souls

This weekend’s services feature an eclectic mixture of musical themes. You’ll hear Gabriel Fauré’s lush “Cantique de Jean Racine,” sung by the St. Michael’s Singers at 9 AM and the traditional Spiritual “Just a closer walk with thee” at 11 AM with the Saints & Singers Choir
This Saturday, clergy, delegates and others will gather online for the Annual Meeting of the Convention of Episcopal Church in Western Oregon. Our form of church government in The Episcopal Church is representative and deliberative. Members of the laity are elected to represent their parish or mission congregation, serving alongside priests and deacons to take their part in the councils of the church.

7:30 – Spoken Traditional language (Rite 2 with no music)
9:00 – Traditional Service with Choir
11:00 – Inclusive Language with Choir
1:00 pm – Misa en Español
