What is Pastoral Care?

Dear Friends,
We have been praying through some difficult things together. Many of our beloveds in the parish and in our
circles of connection, and many of us ourselves, are experiencing illness and difficulty in our bodies, in our
mental health, and even in our relationships. Today I want to say a few things about pastoral care.

Musical Happenings at St. Michael’s

All are invited to another recital by Ensemble Boulanger (that’s pianist Hannah Brewer and soprano Emma Cowell) in the Nativity Hall this Saturday, April 27, at 4:00 pm. The theme is German Romantic Lieder, with songs, piano solos, and piano duets by 19th-century composers. Then on Sunday, April 28, not only do we get the treat of hearing our St. Michael’s Choristers and Joyful Players sing a song to close their Easter play at the sermon time; but we have a lovely anthem at 9:00 am and 11:00 am sung by the St. Michael’s Singers by beloved American composer Randall Thompson.

Information regarding services for 01/21/24

Tomorrow, Sunday, January 14, there will be one worship service only at 11:00 am, in the building and online. The 7:30 and 9:00 am services are cancelled. Beto+ is leading Morning Prayer in Spanish on Facebook at 1:00 pm.

We are hopeful that Liturgy of the Word will happen and Choristers rehearsal as well unless those folks hear from Brian.

Conditions allowing, we will still offer our Candidates Forum at 10:15 am with Helen Crandell and Scott+ in the Nativity Hall.

The Cathedral Trio concert scheduled for tonight, Saturday, January 20, has also been postponed. Please look for the new date coming soon.

Join us next week for our regular schedule!
