Reflection of VSC Experience
Last Sunday, we gathered for the second all-parish event to participate in St. Michael’s yearlong Vision & Strategy process. Thank you for showing up and participating in this process.
Music for Sunday, May 11
Good Shepherd Sunday brings us one of J.S. Bach’s most iconic works: “Sheep May Safely Graze.” Originally composed as a soprano aria, the choir will sing an arrangement in four-part harmony with the text “Flocks in pastures green abiding.”
Signs for our Times
Our Palm Sunday sign collaboration with Rose City Park Presbyterian Church was so successful that many would like to keep it going. All are invited on the first Sunday of each month—including this Sunday, May 4—to offer Christian witness to our community.
2nd All-Parish Gathering of VSC
St. Michael’s Vision & Strategy Committee invites all to its second all-parish gathering on Sunday, May 4, from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. We’ll explore the ministries in, of and for St. Michael’s and ask ourselves some important questions.
Holy Week & Easter
All are welcome for our remaining Holy Week and Easter services! Tonight, April 18, is our bilingual Good Friday liturgy which includes Stations of the Cross and veneration of the Cross. Tomorrow night is our most important feast of the year, the Easter Vigil. There will be candlelight, hymns that we sing only at this service, and creatively presented traditional readings. Light incense will be used at this service.
