This Sunday at 10am we enjoy another service full of your favorite hymns. Additionally, a summer pickup choir will offer an arrangement of the navy hymn “Eternal Father, strong to save” with the refrain “for those in peril on the sea,” referencing the morning’s gospel text as Jesus calms the stormy sea and miraculously walks on water. This summer choir opportunity is open to all (the anthem is easy!), and a perfect chance to check out what it’s like to sing from the choir chairs and see if it inspires you to join one of our choirs in the fall. From pickup choir to pop-up recital… Directly after the 10am service, join us in the Nativity Hall with your cup of coffee and cookie to listen to a variety of musical offerings performed by fellow congregants (kids and adults alike). The event is intended to be informal and relaxed, so feel free to get in touch if offering a poetry reading or magic trick is more your style.
