Thank you all again for such a wonderful turnout of support for our Broadway Night music ministry fundraiser! Initial estimates indicate a net profit of around $12,500, which will help pay for our amazing choir section leaders, new music, guest instrumentalists, and more.
This Sunday we have a summer choir at 9am singing what is technically a Pentecost anthem by the English Renaissance composer Christopher Tye (c. 1505-1573). If you are interested in joining in for the morning (8:30am call time in the chancel, no robes or processing), reach out to Music Director Hannah Brewer for a copy of the anthem in advance. Looking ahead to Sunday, June 14, Hannah will play a (free) mini organ recital between services (around 10:15am-10:45am) in preparation for a full-length recital in Newport, Oregon on June 20. Sherman Hesselgrave will also be around to play the specially requested organ/piano duet “The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba” by Handel at both 9am and 11am services. Lots more to come this summer!
