We are so excited that baby Astrid, daughter to our dear choir couple Jim Puls and Maika Horjus (bass and soprano, respectively), is being baptised this coming Sunday! In their honor, and to celebrate Good Shepherd Sunday, the St. Michael’s Singers will offer the most beloved (and highly requested!) of choir anthems, “The Lord is my shepherd,” arranged by Bobby McFerrin (“dedicated to my mother”). This haunting, seemingly simple anthem is based on the 23rd Psalm and is celebrated for using She/Her pronouns for God.

Don’t forget that Broadway Night tickets go on sale this Sunday between services. Tickets are $35 each. The event (offered on Friday, June 3 AND Saturday, June 4) is our primary fundraiser for the music program at St. Michael’s and helps to pay for our staff singers, Easter brass quintet, and anything else that goes over-budget from the modest $1000 program fund allowed in our annual budget.
