Music for July 30

Longtime parishioner Chad Southwell delights us on Sunday with Irish and Scottish fiddle tunes to open and close the 10am service. He will also play Bach’s famous “Air on the G String” during the offertory. Right after the service, join us in the Nativity Hall for an informal music recital with youth and adult performers ready to show off their talents!

Coming up we have tenor Palmer Haffner reprising his Broadway Night solo from Godspell on August 6 and tenor Cliff Fairley singing Mendelssohn on August 13. Immediately following that service, youth and adults are invited to stick around in the sanctuary for an organ demo and organ building workshop led by Cliff and provided by Orgelkids USA. On Wednesday, August 16, St. Michael’s is hosting a chamber concert for the William Byrd Festival at 7pm called “And Byrds do sing – Byrd’s Music at Home.” This concert of secular music will be sung by the Byrd Festival Consort, led by Dr. Ross Duffin. Tickets can be purchased here.
