Celebration of New Ministry

Thursday, October 5, at 6:30 pm, we celebrate the long-awaited installation of the Rev. R. Scott Painter as our 8th Rector. All are invited and welcome! This will be an evening of great tradition and joy, with Bishop Diana presiding and preaching. Eucharist will be included in the service, which will be bilingual, and many clergy in the diocese will be in attendance as well as many of Scott+’s family and friends. The full St. Michael’s Singers will provide musical leadership. Scott+ will receive special gifts as symbols of ministry from leaders in the St. Michael’s community. An offering will be taken to benefit his Discretionary Account.

We’re expecting a large crowd, and there will be overflow seating in the Nativity Hall. Please check the invitation you received several weeks ago for details and parking information. There will be ushers both inside and outside to help guide attendees in parking and seating. The service, of course, will be live-streamed, so there are no worries about missing it for any reason. The bulletin is linked below.

The Transition Committee has been working tirelessly since spring to make this an unforgettable celebration, and we will enjoy a very special festive reception following the service. Our expenses for the reception are being covered by many generous donations to the transition fund in the spring.
