The first important event of our year-long Strategic Visioning process is happening on Sunday, February 9, from 10:15 am to 12:45 pm. This is the first parish engagement (of three this year), and it is very important to have your experience, your perspective and your voice contributing to this work.

All St. Michael’s members are encouraged to attend our 2025 Annual Meeting at 12:15 pm in the nave on Sunday, January 26. The meeting will include approving the 2024 Annual Meeting minutes and the 2024 Annual Report.

From Scott+: I am glad to share with you that The Rev. Jesús Reyes is joining us for the next several months as Interim Assisting Priest for Latino Ministry at St. Michael’s. He will be with us as we begin our search for a new full-time Associate Rector. Jesús’ availability to us will be eight hours per week, so we will have welcome but limited support in his ministry among us.

All are welcome and encouraged to attend the forum on Sunday, January 12, between the 9:00 and 11:00 am services. Scott+ and Dave Reilly, our treasurer, will present the proposed budget for 2025. They will share the Vestry’s priorities for the new year based on the pledge commitments received and invite input from the congregation.

On Sunday, January 5, we will celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany. This holiday marks the day the Magi, or the three kings, who followed a star to visit the baby Jesus in Bethlehem. Our services today are 7:30 and 10:00 am ONLY. We will join as one community for the 10:00 service, which will be bilingual.

Las Posadas commemorates the journey that Joseph and Mary undertook in search of a safe refuge where Mary could give birth to the baby Jesus. The Posadas will run from Monday, December 16, to Monday, December 23.

We wish you all a healthy, happy and blessed Christmas season. With joy, we invite all to our worship services with music and Holy Eucharist on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

On Saturday, December 21, at 5:00 pm, we will come together to celebrate The Longest Night Service. We will remember loved ones who have died and also reflect on the pain, loneliness and sadness we may feel that may keep us from joy and the fullness of life.

The season of Advent is here, and with it our Advent Giving Tree. The tree is now up and ready for tags to be taken. The tree will remain up through December, and the gift items will be delivered in early January. This year, there are three ways to help those in need.
