The Feast of Epiphany

On Sunday, January 5, we will celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany. This holiday marks the day the Magi, or the three kings, who followed a star to visit the baby Jesus in Bethlehem. The Magi brought Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Gold was considered a symbol of kings, frankincense a perfume representing divinity and myrrh an anointing and embalming oil that symbolized death.

Our services today are 7:30 and 10:00 am ONLY. We will join as one community for the 10:00 service, which will be bilingual. All are invited to stay after the 10:00 service for an all-parish potluck brunch/lunch. It will be a wonderful opportunity—like our Parish Picnic in the summer—to spend time together as one St. Michael’s community.
