Music this Week

One of our volunteer choir members, Beth Ilem, will sing two solos this Sunday by Mendelssohn and Vivaldi. We are so lucky to have singers like Beth willing to offer her voice as a soloist AND as a choir member.

However, you don’t have to be a soloist to join one of our choirs in the fall! On the contrary, while some choral experience is recommended to keep up with the St. Michael’s Singers, who rehearse and support our services every week from September through May, there is no audition, so you are welcome to give it a try.

If you don’t have as much time to commit, consider joining the Saints & Singers, who rehearse and sing only once or twice a month. Their repertoire is easier to learn and throw together with limited rehearsal, but both choirs offer close-knit community and FUN! So, if you were inspired by last week’s pickup choir or by hearing choir soloists this summer, think about whether joining one of our choirs feels right to you.

Your music team of Choir Director Brian Fairbanks and Music Director/Organist Hannah Brewer look forward to hearing from you and seeing new faces this fall.
