Holy Week & Easter

All are welcome for our remaining Holy Week and Easter services! Tonight, April 18, is our bilingual Good Friday liturgy which includes Stations of the Cross and veneration of the Cross. Tomorrow night is our most important feast of the year, the Easter Vigil. There will be candlelight, hymns that we sing only at this service, and creatively presented traditional readings. Light incense will be used at this service. Following the service, all are welcome to enjoy Andean music by Grupo Latitude and homemade tamales. The Rev. R. Scott Painter will preside and preach, and El Rvdo. Jesús Reyes will assist. Easter Sunday will be equally spectacular, with the Portland Brass Quintet and the St. Michael’s Singers joining forces at the 9:00 and 11:00 am services to joyfully celebrate the Resurrection. There will be a 7:30 am Rite I service, and the Día de Pascua will be celebrated in Spanish at the 1:00 pm service.
