The IWC (Immigrant Welcoming Congregations ministry) is hosting a forum on June 9 about the Rainbow Initiative of Episcopal Migration Ministries, part of a national church program. Last year, St. Michael’s/San Miguel joined the brand-new Rainbow Initiative as a founding congregation. The Rainbow Initiative focuses on the struggles of people who are forced to migrate due to their status as LGBTQ+ individuals and invites congregations into the work of supporting and accompanying these migrants.

This forum will focus on the question, “What would it look like at St. Michael’s to be welcoming to LGBTQ+ persons and their families from Spanish-speaking countries?” We will be showing a brief documentary video titled Three Drops of Water. We hope you will join us for the forum and discussion, in English after the 9:00 service, or in Spanish after the 1:00 pm service.
