Choral Evensong is coming right up on Wednesday, October 19, at 7:00 pm. Join the St. Michael’s Singers for this special mid-week service as day turns to night, The choir will sing an introit by Joseph Barnby (1838-1896), Preces and Responses by John Merbecke (1505-1585), Charles V. Stanford’s Magnificat & Nunc Dimittis in G Major (with solos by staff singers Kaeli Porter and Dan Gibbs), and two glorious choral anthems (with powerful organ parts) by Henry Balfour Gardiner (1877-1950) and Johannes Brahms (1833-1897). It will be an aural feast and an opportunity to both support the choir program and participate in one of the most beautiful and traditional of Anglican services.
