The Saints & Singers Choir is back for the new choir season this Sunday at the 11:00am service. They will be singing a Scottish anthem exploring the Celtic Christian tradition of finding the divine in ordinary things. If you love to sing but don’t have the time or energy for a weekly choir commitment, consider joining the Saints & Singers, who sing just once or twice a month. Please reach out to Choir Director Brian Fairbanks for more info.
Meanwhile, our 9:00am service will feature music by the German Romantic composer Johannes Brahms (1833-1897), seen above. The St. Michael’s Singers will offer a beautiful anthem in German, “Geistliches Lied” (“Spiritual Song”), which Brahms composed in 1856 while in his early 20s.
