Welcome Back, Choirs!

As the fall season opens, special thanks go to our musical soloists over the summer who helped inspire worship and prayer with their gifts. We thank Bob Spiers, Brian Fairbanks, Carleena Manzi, Kaeli Porter, Beth Ilem, Sherman Hesselgrave, Dan Gibbs, Josh English, Cliff Fairley, and our summer pickup choirs for sharing their talents this summer.

Some thrilling musical highlights await us this choir season! Choral anthems to look forward to include new (to us) works by 20th century African-American composer Margaret Bonds, newly arrived Portland composer and organist Jaebon Hwang, and contemporary British composer Joanna Forbes L’Estrange, as well as works by Howells, Fauré, Gibbons, and many others.

We have two Choral Evensongs this fall (September 28 and November 23), as well as a fun Halloween Organ Spooktacular on–you guessed it!–October 31.

Welcome back, choirs!
