The Profile Committee held its first meeting on February 3 and chose Barb Miller to be its chair. The members also discussed their initial actions which will include looking at previous profiles; learning about the Diocesan Church Assessment Tool; gathering past and present demographic information about St. Michael’s; brainstorming about the various methods they can use to gather information; and considering different multi-media possibilities they can use to prepare and present their report.
The Profile Committee members plan to review the history of St. Michael’s, but even more important, they want to take a thorough look at the present. To do this, they need the participation of the entire St. Michael’s congregation. They plan to send a survey to all members of the congregation to find out what they see at St. Michael’s today and what they dream of for St. Michael’s in the future.
Reverend Julia Nielsen and The Rev. Sherman Hesselgrave, our interim clergy, will also reach out to the congregation through individual and small-group discussions on Zoom and, eventually, in person. In the meantime, anyone who has a question, suggestion or comment is encouraged to contact a member of the Profile Committee, which includes Barb Miller, Virginia Malone, Bob Spiers, Sheryl Fullerton, Josh English, Brenda Koenig and Elizabeth Muñoz Cortes.
In addition, parishioners can contact Dave Reilly or Cheryl Braginsky of the Communications Committee with questions or comments for our interim rectors, the vestry, or members of our committees. El Comité del Perfil Parroquial celebró su primera reunión el 3 de Febrero y eligió a Barb Miller como su presidenta. Planean enviar una encuesta a todos los miembros de la congregación para saber qué ven en San Miguel hoy, y qué sueñan de San Miguel para el futuro.

Sherman Hesselgrave, nuestro clero interino, también se comunicarán con la congregación a través de pláticas y conversaciones individuales y en grupos pequeños por zoom y, más adelante, en persona.
