Today begins our Holy Week services and events at St. Michael’s. Both the 9:00 and 11:00 am services begin in the courtyard, weather permitting. (If raining, they will begin in the Nativity Hall.) The 9:00 will include processing around the block with palm fronds and song to commemorate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. According to the Gospels, Jesus came to Jerusalem to celebrate Passover and entered the city riding a donkey. This service will include the Blessing of the Palms and Passion narrative. The 11:00 service will include the Blessing of the Palms and Palm Sunday readings. Palm fronds will be available at both services, and your Thursday eblast contains an instruction sheet for how to fold them into crosses.
