The Rev. R. Scott Painter
Scott was previously Rector of Grace Episcopal Church and School in Houston, and before that served as Curate to St. Stephen’s in Houston. Prior to entering ministry as a priest, he taught English in public and private high schools. He has degrees from The University of Houston and Seminary of the Southwest in Austin.
Our associate rector, Beto, is a man of many hats. He was selected to lead our Misa congregation a few short years ago and now finds himself the lead clergy-person for St. Michael’s during our transition. He also is the Canon for Latino Ministries for the Diocese of Oregon.
Director of Music & Organist
Hannah joined the staff at St. Michael’s in 2012 and previously held Organist positions at churches in California, Ohio, and London, England. She works extensively as a choral accompanist and collaborative musician on organ, piano, and harpsichord.
Brian joined St. Michael’s in 2017 after many years on the music staff at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Seattle. Brian conducts the St. Michael’s Singers, St. Michael’s Choristers, and Saints & Singers Choir.
Associate for Children & Families
Leslie and her family became members of St. Michael’s in the late 1980’s. After teaching Sunday School for several years, Leslie joined the staff in 1993. Her ministry includes oversight of St. Michael’s Childcare ministry, religious education programs for pre-k through fifth grade students and preparation for Holy Baptism for families with young children.
Associate for Administration
Gloria and her family joined St. Michael’s in 2003, and she began work soon after as parish bookkeeper. In 2007, she took on the job of Parish Administrator. Her responsibilities are wide-ranging and include communications, database management and scheduling.
J T has been a member of St. Michael’s for over 30 years and served this position from 2004 to 2009 at which time he became communication director for the Diocese of Oregon. He left the diocese in 2016 and stepped in to help again in 2018.
