Scott (he/him) joined St. Michael’s in May, 2023. Before coming to Portland, he served congregations in Houston, Texas. Prior to entering the priesthood, Scott taught high school English. He holds degrees from The University of Houston and Seminary of the Southwest in Austin.

Leslie Sackett
Associate for Children & Families
Leslie and her family became members of St. Michael’s in the late 1980s. After teaching Sunday School for several years, Leslie joined the staff in 1993. Her ministry includes oversight of St. Michael’s Childcare ministry, religious education programs for pre-k through fifth grade students, and preparation for Holy Baptism for families with young children.

Brian joined St. Michael’s in 2017 after many years on the music staff at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Seattle. Brian conducts the St. Michael’s Singers, St. Michael’s Choristers, and Saints & Singers Choir.

Matte (they/them) joined the staff at St. Michael’s in the summer of 2025. Matte has worked in communications and administrative support for over 10 years in Portland, San Francisco, and Cincinnati Ohio. They also are the music director at Grant Park Church.
