Alleluia! Christ is risen! Bravo to our hardworking singers! Each of our four choirs sang at least twice between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday, with the St. Michael’s Singers offering their voices at a total of SIX services during Holy Week. This week everyone is getting a bit of a breather before the final push to Pentecost (May 24) and our Broadway Night fundraiser (May 29 & 30–tickets for sale starting April 26). Stay tuned over the next several weeks for music from the Renaissance era, a traditional Spiritual, accessible hymn-anthems, poetry by e. e. cummings, a classic Anglican choral anthem, and more. There is even an Ensemble Boulanger recital coming up celebrating women composers (“Spring Songs” with Emma Cowell and Hannah Brewer) on Friday, May 15 at 7pm in the Nativity Hall. Alleluia indeed!
