Music for September 18

This Sunday’s 10:00 am service is brought to you by English composers. As the world mourns the death of Queen Elizabeth II, we will feature music by Herbert Brewer (1865-1928), Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872-1958), and Frank Bridge (1879-1941), all English composers who were alive when Elizabeth was young. We will also sing the classic Welsh tune Cwm Rhondda (“God of grace and God of glory”) and the Irish ballad Slane (“Be thou my vision”) as we recognize our musical roots in the British Isles.
