St. Michael’s Singers rehearsal

This 35-voice choir provides vocal leadership during the 9:00 and 11:00 am Sunday services from early September through early June. The choir sings an anthem during the offertory at each service and leads the congregation in the psalms, hymns and service music.

The St. Michael’s Singers is a close-knit community of singers with varying levels of choral experience who are willing to make the commitment required to maintain a high level of music-making in support of our worship services. The St. Michael’s Singers rehearse on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and sing at the 9:00 and/or 11:00 services each Sunday (except in summertime), rehearsing an hour before each service. A smaller Chamber Choir consisting of four paid section leaders and other members of the St. Michael’s Singers takes the alternate services.

The St. Michael’s Singers also prepares music for special services such as Choral Evensong, Advent Lessons & Carols, Christmas Eve and Holy Week.
