The Prayer Shawl Ministry continues to gather and produce beautiful shawls to help comfort those who need it, whether that be someone who is ill, in recovery, grieving or even recently home with a new baby. Until St. Michael’s House is renovated after the small fire on the front porch and steps, the group is meeting on Friday mornings at 9:30 am in the Raphael Room – next on September 6.
There is a core group of knitters, but new folks are always welcome, and help is available for those less experienced. These prayer shawls are blessed once a month during the services and are available for anyone in the parish to give away. There is always a variety of colors and styles. You can come during the week to pick one up, or go to the sacristy after the Prayer Shawl Blessing on the first Sunday or during St. Brigid’s Guild Healing Prayers on the second Sunday.
