“Being With” is a small group course for anyone interested in exploring big questions of meaning, God, faith, life, and death with other seekers. Amid the isolation that so many experience, Being With creates space to find meaning through genuine relationships. It’s for those seeking to find their way into a new kind of faith that might feel different from how we grew up. This course puts conversation and connection first, and seeks to create a safe, non-judgmental space to explore questions such as meaning, suffering, hope, and much more, without demanding predetermined answers.
The only expectation is to listen to others’ experience—and, if you feel comfortable, to share your own.
The course requires a high commitment, with ten 90-minute sessions on Monday nights through the fall. We ask participants to make every effort to attend all sessions, so that their presence becomes an integral part of the community that forms over time. The cohort is capped at 12 participants and is led by trained community members and clergy.
This year’s Being With course begins on September 21 and is held on Monday nights from 6:30-8:00 in the Nativity Hall.
