A huge thank-you to everyone who contributed to our backpack project for local children and youth in foster care, and to all those who helped pack the backpacks last Sunday after church. Sixty-six backpacks of all colors and designs were filled with school supplies and delivered to the midtown branch of the Department of Human Services (DHS) in time for the beginning of the school year. It’s not too late to make a monetary contribution to help offset the cost of the school supplies – every little bit helps!
