Advent Events & Services

Celebration of the Virgin of Guadalupe

Thursday, Dec 11 | 8:30pm | Begins in Parish Hall
It is a feast of the Virgin Mary under the appellation of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This feast is celebrated with special intensity in Mexico and parts of the Southwestern U.S. by Mexican Americans. The feast commemorates the apparition of La Virgen as a dark-skinned indigenous woman speaking in Nahuatl to Juan Diego on the hill of Tepeyac in what Mexico City is today. This event will be in Spanish.

The Longest Night: Prayer Service

Saturday, Dec 20 | 5pm | Nave
On December 20, our community will recognize the darkness in our lives and in our world in the midst of what for many is a joyous, festive season. As we reflect on the pain, loneliness and sadness we may feel, we come together to offer it to God, seeking healing and transformation while sharing a time of prayer, quiet music, and reflection.

A Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols

Sunday, Dec 21 | 5pm | Nave & Parish Hall
