| Christmas Eve |
| Join us this Christmas Eve for a variety of musical styles and expressions across our four service offerings. The 4:00pm service will feature some musical help from our young people, including a Jamaican tune sung by all of our Nativity Play participants. At 6:00pm, the joyful Saints & Singers will provide musical support and enthusiasm with an anthem in Spanish (plus the classic “O Holy Night” sung by soloists). The Misa Coro will help you celebrate Nochebuena in Spanish at 8:00pm. Finally, at 10:30pm we have a 30 minute choral/hymn prelude to get you in the mood for Midnight Mass starting at 11:00pm. The St. Michael’s Singers will reprise some of their favorite tunes from Lessons &Carols, including the peppy Spanish carol “Ríu, Ríu, Chíu,” Vivaldi’s “Gloria in excelsis Deo,” and our own Robert Lockwood’s arrangement of “In the bleak midwinter.” Christmas Day will feature more favorite seasonal hymns, as well as a solo by Choir Director Brian Fairbanks. The choirs (and music staff) will get a brief break until January 4. |
