It’s that time of the year again! The Outreach & Justice Council has set up the Advent Giving Tree in the Gallery, with tags that can be used to buy items needed for some worthy organizations. Please take a look at the information provided on the bulletin board behind the tree and pick one or two tags this Christmas season. Return the unwrapped items to the tree area and place gift cards in an envelope, indicating which group they’re for, and put them through the office mail slot..

There are four choices – the Community Transitional School, which tracks and educates homeless and home-insecure children to ensure a smooth school year; Blanchet House, which feeds and offers other services to street folks downtown; the Virginia Garcia Health Center which furnishes culturally appropriate health, dental and eye care to rural farmworkers and others without health care; and IMIrJ, which serves asylum-seekers.
