It is also the opportunity to share your love and blessings with family and future generations. The main purpose of Legacy Writing is to communicate to family and loved ones what matters most in your life. You have a legacy worth leaving future generations. \nYou’ll learn ways to document your unique legacy in a four-part weekly series to be offered on Tuesdays\, October 8\, 15\, 22 & 29\, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in the Raphael Room. No previous writing experience is necessary. Legacy Writing is writing from the heart\, and however you choose to write your legacy is the right way for you. Join a Legacy Writing Circle and acknowledge and share the power of your life experience.\nThe circle will be led by parishioner Mary C. Myers\, Certified Legacy Writing Facilitator\, spiritual director and retired chaplain. \nIn her words:\nHaving spent over forty years in ministry\, many as a Board Certified Chaplain in acute care\, hospice and outreach to the marginalized\, story has been the constant at the heart of my work. DESCRIPTION:Starting in September\, the Monday Book Group is reading the book by Richard Rohr called The Universal Christ: How a Forgotten Reality can Change Everything We see\, Hope for\, and Believe. This was one of the books that Rector Chris Craun featured in her summer book-discussion groups. \nIt is also highly recommended by our Presiding Bishop Michael Curry. He says\, “Here\, Father Richard helps us to see and hear Jesus of Nazareth in what he taught\, what he did\, and who he is–the loving\, liberating\, and life-giving expression and presence of God. In so doing\, he is helping Christianity to reclaim its soul anew.” \nThe Monday Book Groups meets on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 1:00 pm\, and all are welcome. The book is available at Amazon. The public library has copies\, but there are waiting lists in all three formats.

SUMMARY:Music Makers & Family Worship
DESCRIPTION:Families with young children gather in the Nativity Hall the third Saturday of the month at 4:30 pm for Music Makers & Family Worship Service. After worship a pot-luck dinner is shared with plenty of time to enjoy good food and fellowship! \nMusic Makers is a fun-filled\, interactive class designed for young children and their families to experience the joy of making music together! As families sing\, dance and play music in a variety of styles they not only share the delights of making music\, they also lay the important groundwork for a child’s lifelong appreciation\, enjoyment and connection to music. \nFamily Worship is a liturgy created especially for young children and their families\, keeping in mind the energy\, wiggles\, giggles and attention span of the very young. Family Worship meets in the Nativity Hall which offers plenty of space for little ones and parents to move as needed throughout the liturgy. Music introduced through the Music Makers class is incorporated into worship and Holy Eucharist is celebrated using grape juice and gluten-free crackers. A delicious potluck dinner follows in the Parish Hall.

Legacies are the fruits of a life well lived.”\n“Legacies are the passing on of our stories\, values\, love\, wisdom and blessings to future generations.” \nWhat is Legacy Writing?\nLegacy Writing is the opportunity to tell your story\, impart your values\, life lessons and wisdom. It is also the opportunity to share your love and blessings with family and future generations. The main purpose of Legacy Writing is to communicate to family and loved ones what matters most in your life. You have a legacy worth leaving future generations. \nYou’ll learn ways to document your unique legacy in a four-part weekly series to be offered on Tuesdays\, October 8\, 15\, 22 & 29\, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in the Raphael Room. No previous writing experience is necessary. Legacy Writing is writing from the heart\, and however you choose to write your legacy is the right way for you. Join a Legacy Writing Circle and acknowledge and share the power of your life experience.\nThe circle will be led by parishioner Mary C. Myers\, Certified Legacy Writing Facilitator\, spiritual director and retired chaplain. \nIn her words:\nHaving spent over forty years in ministry\, many as a Board Certified Chaplain in acute care\, hospice and outreach to the marginalized\, story has been the constant at the heart of my work. All the ways I have shared\, listened to\, empowered\, celebrated and lived story have prepared me for the important work of Legacy Writing. \nI am passionate about Legacy Writing and creating ethical wills because I have seen the gift it is to writers as well as their loved ones\, whether shared in the midst of life or at the end.
