On Sunday, June 4, John and Alice Scannell, in conjunction with our Outreach & Justice ministry, will be hosting a potluck at St. Michael’s for Sean Dougherty, the Executive Director of VAMOS. The event is from 5:30-7:30 pm in the Parish Hall. All are welcome!

VAMOS! (Vermont Associates for Mexican Opportunity and Support) is an amazing program which provides meals, classes, medical, dental and psychological services to the poorest of the poor in Cuernavaca, Mexico. St. Michael’s has supported this program through individual and Millennium Developmental Goal (MDG) funds.

Sean would like to meet the St. Michael’s community to give an overview and update of the program’s work and to thank all those who have supported it. Many will be familiar with the VAMOS project through the annual pilgrimages to Cuernavaca led by the Scannells; but we want everyone to take the opportunity to hear about the work being done.

Please bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share and join us for a very special evening. Please RSVP to Karen Oglesby if you plan to attend, or email her if you have questions.
