On Saturday, May 12, Deborah Romerein, a member of a Portland environmental group called Stop Fracked Gas PDX, will present on a proposed 235-mile pipeline which would move fracked gas from Canada to a LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) terminal in Coos Bay and then ship it overseas to Asian markets. The construction of this pipeline would be an environmental disaster on many fronts, including becoming the largest emitter of greenhouse gases in Oregon and causing the largest clear-cutting of forests in Oregon’s history. Please come to hear more at 7:00 pm in the Nativity Hall.
